While Audiences Might Be Fatigued With The Three Variants

Of the three MCU films releasing in 2022, Thor: Love and Thunder is by far the most exciting, and its first footage explains why. Previously slated for the traditional May MCU tentpole release date, Love and Thunder will now occupy Marvel Studios' summer blockbuster slot with its July 8th worldwide release. 2017's Thor: Ragnarok is widely regarded as one of Marvel's best works, as it reinvented the character of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in a way that boosted his general appeal. This is one of the reasons why a wave of excitement is building for Thor to set a new MCU record by being the only character to head up 4 solo films. The last time audiences saw Thor was in the epic two-part Infinity Saga finale, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Thor's story arc took a depressive turn throughout those films as he dealt with the loss of his father, brother, best friend, and his people. Avengers: Endgame introduced a new version of Thor, crippled by fear, haunted by the

It Is Quite Possible Some Of Their Stories Will Interact

Here are all the Jedi who had survived Order 66, and who were still at large in the galaxy at the time of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Emperor Palpatine envisioned the Clone Wars as the ultimate Jedi Trap, a no-win scenario where the Jedi lost simply by taking part. The Clone Wars were not epic, but in fact they were tragic. "Wars do not make one great," Master Yoda told Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back, and he was probably recounting a lesson he had learned when he reflected back on the Clone Wars. There is a sense in which the Clone Wars were too successful. When the Clone Wars began, they tipped the galaxy toward the dark side, and the Jedi lost their ability to perceive the will of the Force. Over the course of the conflict, countless Jedi lost faith in their cause and in the wisdom of the Jedi Council, who were unable to see through the shroud of the dark side. The Jedi had more defectors during the Clone Wars than it did during the last thousand years, and after

The Cast Feeling Brutalized By The Experience Of Shooting

However, time has been kind to Kubrick’s take on King’s tale. While other King adaptations about haunted hotels, like 2007’s 1408, remain sorely underrated, The Shining was vindicated by reviewers within a few years of its release. By the '90s, The Shining was already seen as a classic of horror cinema, and in the decades since, the King adaptation has arguably become the most iconic of Kubrick’s movies. However, The Shining was not always destined to be seen as a classic by critics. The movie’s production was fraught with tension, with the cast feeling brutalized by the experience of shooting The Shining. Before production even began, the question of who to cast in the movie’s main roles was contentious for Kubrick and King. Believe it or not, comedy legend Robin Williams was one of the names that Kubrick considered for the part of Jack Torrance, and this could have resulted in a very different iteration of The Shining. While some Stephen King movies, like It Chapter 2. have been

However There Is Still A Chance That Hela Could Return

Cate Blanchett's Hela appears to die in Thor: Ragnarok, but could the goddess of death return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? With the third installment of Chris Hemsworth's Thor franchise, Marvel took a swing to save the character. Taika Waititi was brought in to direct Thor: Ragnarok and give a franchise that was quite Shakesperean to that point heavily comedic tone. The movie leaned into the crazy visuals from the comics and essentially rebooted Thor's MCU journey. There are several reasons why Thor: Ragnarok connected with audiences more than prior installments of the franchise. But, one of the best parts of the film was Cate Blanchett's performance as the main villain, Hela. The goddess of death has a memorable entrance to the MCU, as she destroyed Mjolnir almost immediately. It was also revealed that she is the secret older sister of Thor and previously conquered the Nine Realms with Odin. Hela proved to be a worthy foe for Thor, as she took over Asgard and kil

Undoubtedly One Of The Biggest Names In The Action Adventure Genre

Continuing the franchise with Indiana Jones 5 after Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull causes a major problem for the upcoming sequel. Undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the action-adventure genre, the Indiana Jones franchise features one of pop culture's most iconic characters. After an initial trilogy of well-loved films that have since become classics, the Indiana Jones franchise continued with 2006's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Following the titular archaeologist-adventurer as he is pit against Soviet KGB agents in the 1950s while searching for a telepathic crystal skull, the film was widely disliked by many. Despite being a box office success, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has since passed into infamy as one of the most ill-informed sequels ever made. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's problems were many, but with the franchise set to continue with Indiana Jones 5, the upcoming sequel faces some major narra

Breaking Dawn’s Infamous Ending Plot Hole Retcons The Battle Shortly

Marcus is a major villain in the Twilight saga, but the movies never explain his surprisingly tragic backstory even though it is referenced in Breaking Dawn. The Twilight saga may have brought author Stephenie Meyers’ teen paranormal romance novels to the big screen, but the movie adaptations were forced to cut a lot of backstories to keep their runtimes reasonable. The Twilight movies excised the backstories of many Cullen family members and almost all the franchise’s villains, resulting in New Moon wasting Alec and Jane by failing to explain what made the antagonists so uniquely lethal. However, while New Moon’s missing backstory made Jane and Alec less scary, some Twilight villains were rendered less sympathetic by the absence of their subplots. For example, the Volturi’s aloof member Marcus seems disinterested in the sadistic plans of his coven brethren throughout the Twilight movies, but the adaptations never explain how he became so disillusioned and disengaged. The answer can b

This Was Often Juxtaposed With Social Commentary And Real Life

Officially coming from Whedon and Monica Owusu-Breen, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has been whispered about for a while; it was first discussed in 2010 and 2011, but Whedon ended up confirming that a reboot was on the way in 2018. Since the show's series finale in 2003, fans have known it was only a matter of time before the pop culture juggernaut would be revisited in some capacity. Whether that would be a continuation, like Whedon did with the movie Serenity, which continued his short-lived FOX show, Firefly, or something else was always unknown until the official announcement. Over the course of seven seasons from 1997 to 2003, Buffy the Vampire Slayer explored the life and coming-of-age story of the titular Slayer, Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and pitted a high school girl against vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. This was often juxtaposed with social commentary and real life woes for the characters, who eventually went through high school graduati

Fan Reaction To No Time To Die Would Suggest That

Jason Isaacs reveals the hilarious reason why Daniel Craig is the perfect actor for James Bond. After first appearing in 2006's Casino Royale, Craig would go on to appear as the character in four subsequent movies including Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and, most recently, No Time To Die. Serving as Craig's swansong as the iconic British superspy, No Time To Die was released in the fall of 2021 and proved to be a hit with both fans and critics. After numerous delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie ultimately performed well at the box office, earning over $774 million. While No Time To Die was mostly positively received, Craig's run as Bond has been filled with ups and downs. Casino Royale remains a favorite 007 movie for many fans but Craig's next outing, Quantum of Solace, is widely regarded as one of his lesser entries. Skyfall, however, once again proved that Craig's Bond is one of the more popular iterations of the character before Spectre would

The Wizarding World Saw Other Battles Between Good

As the release date for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore approaches and the future of the series is unclear, there are many questions around how and when Fantastic Beasts will end, and here’s what J.K. Rowling has revealed about it. Back in 1997, readers were introduced to the Wizarding World in J.K. Rowling’s debut novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first entry in what would become a series of seven novels chronicling the story of “The Boy Who Lived” and his mission to stop Lord Voldemort, the darkest wizard of all. However, many years before Harry Potter was born and Voldemort rose to power and became the most dangerous dark wizard in history, the Wizarding World saw other battles between good and evil and another dark wizard with dangerous plans for both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds: Gellert Grindelwald. To explore this part of the history of the Wizarding World, a spin-off prequel series of movies to the Harry Potter saga started in 2016 with Fantast

This Culminates In An Epic Action Sequence In Which The Heroes

The first three episodes of the second half of Young Justice season 4 introduced a number of characters connected to Aquaman and DC Comics' version of Atlantis into the reality of Earth-16. Some of these characters are making their first animated appearance, though they did have cameos in the comic books based upon the Young Justice series. Some of these characters are also obscure, as is often the case with minor character cameos in Young Justice. The fourth major story arc of Young Justice season 4 centers around Kaldur'ahm, who started the series as Aqualad, but grew into the role of Aquaman, replacing his mentor on the Justice League. The events of the first three episodes overlap with the previous arc focused upon Zatanna, as we see the effects of the Chaos Lord Child's attacks on Earth from another perspective. This culminates in an epic action sequence in which the heroes of Atlantis must protect their home from a flesh-consuming wave of red water. Despite this inte
